USA

Been kinda lame lately... I went up to Maine a few times, here and there to see people but that's about it.

That said, this upcoming weekend is the 4th of July. My goal is to get a dance circle going at the Abenakee Club dinner dance.

Hopefully My Dad Won't Yell Me Off The Beach Again This Year,

I went to a straight-up biker bar last night in Maine. I wish I was kidding...

I also wish I would have known to wear some leather. There was a live band, motorcycles on the ceiling, bras on the rafters and the BEST people watching ever. I got a little drunk and decided to cut it up on the dance floor. The singer in the band then announced (to the ENTIRE bar) "this girl is so cute with her little white dress!! TOO BAD YOU'RE AT A BIKER BAR HONEY!!!" It was fabulous.

After that experience, I went back to Lucas's house and we walked over to Andrew's. The late 20-something crew was in town so we raged with them a bit. It gives me hope that they still play flip-cup! Since my dad decided to be completely inconvienent by taking ONE car and leaving me in Maine, I had to bum a ride home to Boston from Deano in the morning.

This is Maine's idea of that claw game with stuffed animals. Hilarious right?

Since I don't have much going on with my life, I plan on spending much more time up north. It will definately make for good blogging, that's fo sho!

VrrrooOOommm not sorry biker dudes,

Hollywood= Fever in the daylight

I got home today from my second trip to La-La Land. It was definitely an experience... I went all by myself :(, so raging was a bit difficult. I flew on Virgin which was awesome because their planes are like iphones. I stayed in Venice which was cool. My hotel was right on the beach which I loved, but it was also right on the boardwalk which was sketchy. Whatever, I survived.

The main focus of this trip was business. I had 4 interviews in 4 days. BRUTAL. The good news was that I got 2 jobs. The bad news was that I would rather stick needles in my eyes than do those jobs. 12 hour days? Shitty compensation? Not for me. If I'm going to take a huge risk and move across the country for good, I need something much better. Needless to say, its back to the drawing boards. I'm talking with a few production studios in the Boston area where I can stay at home and save money, but who fucking knows. I know I love Los Angeles and I will definitely be there, I just don't know when.

Enough of that. Here are some fun things that I did:

I ventured to: Burbank, Santa Monica, Marina del Ray, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Long Beach, Culver City, Sunset Blvd, Santa Clarita, and Malibu, to name a few spots.

Long Beach was a blast. I met up with C-murph and we went to the Land of Many Beers. Our waittress was trying SO HARD to get us drunk but we had to be responsible since we both had an hour drive home. I got this drink called the "Escalade" with tequila, hypnotiq and some other shit in it. We went and walked around after dinner to sober up a bit and saw The Queen Mary (boat.) Then, we passed this bar called The Springbok and saw that people were playing beer pong. We got sad because we missed college and stopped to watch for a sec. Well, that was a mistake. This old man bopped up out of no where and was like "I'M BUYING YOU GIRLS SHOTS!" Since it was C-murph and I, we were like... fine... We meandered over to the bar with this dude and he got us Sambuca. WOOF and INSTADRUNK. Then he was like, "I'm buying you your first round of pong and a drink to have on the side." We looked at eachother, knew this was trouble and SPRINTED out of the bar. How responsible. I totally would have partied if I didn't have to drive an hour home to Venice. ahh well, soon enough.

One day I went and checked out stuff in Culver City. There are a LOT of hidden little studios since most people do their post-production stuff there. Sony Studios takes up a good chunk of Culver City as well. I ventured into Smashbox Cosmetics Corporate which was really happening. They do LA Fashion week there. Then I wandered into this building that looked cool. I looked around and there were tons of posters of Slightly Stoopid and the Expendables. I thought to myself, "no way..." Turns out, I had stumbled into Stoopid's management headquarters. What? REALLY? I ran into my dear friend Brian and he was like, Meaghan! What are you doing here?! He prob thinks I'm a crazy stalker, but I'm not, it was fate I swear. Unfortunately, Miles wasn't around :( BUT Brian gave me all of Slightly Stoopid's CD's! Love him. I also accidently stumbled onto the set of Californication. They weren't filming yet but it was cool to see the set get put together. They turned this vacant building into a pseudo-strip club for a scene. Dope.

The rest of the trip was pretty low-key. I went out to eat in some awesome resturaunts, by myself of course. Although my indepencence is a good quality, I realized that I don't really like being alone. I hope the next time I go to LA, I will have someone fun with me so that I can really rage. SoCal ain't seen nothin' yet.

Now that I'm back east, I have some REAL thinking to do. I also found a new boy to distract me.

not sorry!

Cartier SUCKS

I'm definately still drunk so I have to write some shit down before I forget:

*went into the city with my parents today. had fun at neimans, tifs, yurman, etc. ("GIVE ME YOUR TREASURES!!!)

*after a drink at kitty o'shea's, we chatted up a rando on the street and he told us to go to this italian place in the north end. we went.

*IT WAS AWESOME! and our rando friend (peter) came and joined us. im pretty sure he was in the mob. We drank a lot of really nice chianti.

*In the meantime, my mom managed to pick a fight with some random hoes.

*We ventured to some bar, and brought the hoes my mom was fighting with. They were best friends at this point.
*Blurry
*Upon leaving fanueil hall, my mom ran into some firemen.

*Then she hopped in their truck.

*I'm not kidding.
*And now I am home, somehow.

Gotta sleep, lakeshow tomorrow then back to El Lay.

The Way Life Should Be.

I just got home from such a fun weekend!

SATURDAY

I went and ran some errands with my dad. We went to the tire guy, the shoe guy, the glasses guy, the car wash and the bank. It was SO BORING and I asked him if we could do something fun. He told me, "yes, in fact, our next errand is hilarious." He took me to a race track to place bets on horses for the Belmont. REALLY? Well this place was out of control. I really can't even explain it. I bet on Summer Bird because I thought the name was cool and it was horse number 4 (my lucky number.) Guess who won the Belmont? Summer Bird! Holla, made some money. After the race, I decided to go to Maine. Why not, right? I ended up hanging out with my cousins, George, Brendan, Tubby and some other people. Elliot and Tucker showed up out of no where which was great. Alex and I did some drawing and I gave a shout out to The Crew:

SUNDAY

I woke up to a pretty gorgeous day in Maine. I went for a walk around the block and it looked like this:
Then I had to go out to lunch with the Fontein Clan for Grandmother's 88th birthday. I'm just going to be honest here and say it; my grandparents are brutal. Needless to say, I ordered a huge margarita at lunch and partied. Then the twins dropped me back off in Biddeford Pool. Its frightening, yet convienent that Addison is allowed to drive. Then George and I went to go see the Hangover. I already saw it on Friday but it was SO FUNNY that I went to see it again. Don't worry, it was still just as funny the second time around. After the movie, we went to Andrews were we preceded to drink wine and rock out. We watched the Lakers win and random people bopped in and out. It was a good night.

MONDAY

I woke up at Andrew's and it was another gorgeous day! I decided to stay in Maine and I hung out with Lucas like all day. It was really something.

We ended up getting a keg.So I stayed to rage in Maine for one more night. The rage was great. So many good people showed up. I really enjoyed myself, and so did Lucas:

I woke up this morning, still in Maine and said to myself, "I have to get out of here..." so I drove home. All in all, it was a lot of fun, but now I have to buckle down FOR REALS and focus on getting a job. I also think I need to go to GNC and get a detox kit.

I'm baaaaaaaaaack,

well....

I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that I fell off the wagon and partied a little bit last night. The good news is that I woke up to this message:

"I'm writitng this on my phone from my bed. Tonight was a regular doozy. I went to maine on a whim and saw my cousins for the first time since january. That was great. I also saw george, andrew, brendan, tubby, trip, bill, tucker, elliot, alex, whit and two randoms! We kicked it at andrews and watched the LAKERS and the pens. Good work Lakers. At some point, andrew told one of the many ghost stories about his house. (Drew's summer house is like 100 years old and crazy huge. There are all sorts of old creepy narrow staircases, random rooms and freaky shit that has happened there in the past.) Some people went to investigate this attic room and tweeeeked out because the chairs were set up all crazy. (there was a random assortment of chairs from all over the house set up in a perfect semi-circle and then there was one chair in the middle, facing the window. Weird.) I laughed it off because I felt as though the whole situation was bullshit. Well some other stuff went on.. We had a bonfire on the rocks and it was awesome. I had a lot of good chats with people I hadn't seen in a year. I also forgot how HOT elliot is... Then we went back to Drews. Highlights include: mac n cheese, lukey crisp and "ice storms '98." Then I had a delightful walk back to lukes. I forgot how safe bp is and how I can walk the streets at 3:45 in the morning feeling no sense of threat, whatsoever. I really missed my late night walks home where the only light comes from the moon reflecting off the ocean... So gorgeous. I got home and things got weird... First, I heard what sounded like a female coughing near by. (I was all alone.) I did a quick scope of the house and everyone was asleep... I know I heard that noise though and it sounded like it came from right in front of me! Then, the lights started flickering in the house. (WHAT?! REALLY??) I felt like the freaking GHOST that I didn't believe in earlier showed up to fuck with me!!! I got pretty spooked, bopped into d's room and closed the door, tightly. So here I am, in bed... Freaked out... Nervous... Curius... Yet humored....
Oh Maine, gets me everytime!

My first bonfire of the year :)

Stop it Conan, I'm the only late night ginge. (JK you're doing GREAT!)

I've been drinking at least a gallon of water a day to rid my body of chemicals. It's a bitch because I have to pee every 5 minutes. Some expert sources have informed me that if I keep this up, I should be clean in no time... (two more weeks.)

The only things keeping me sane are nature and mint chocolate chip fro-yo from Treadwells. I've also been catching up on movie-watching. The House Bunny was hilarious, (Anna Faris is my idol.) Nick and Norah's was predictable, yet confirmed how badly I want to... [hang out with] Michael Cera. Tomorrow is a big day as I am going to watch The Wrestler. Friday will also be a movie day as the much-anticipated Funny People AND Land of the Lost are opening. I might have to put Land of the Lost on hold until I can smoke again though. I caught the MTV movie awards and actually enjoyed them. I REALLY want to [hang out with] Andy Samberg.

Today I managed to watch the season finale of the Hills, "Speidi's Wedding Unveiled" and PH's new BFF.
My thoughts on those are as follows:
..........

That said, I'm jetting back to LA on June 15th for a few days. It'll be busy, but hopefully I'll be able to pull off something at least a little bit rowdy.

still straight-edge,

Personal Mystery: Solved

text i received this evening:

Peter: Are you wasted? Please say yes. Right now i am taking shots of jack out of your stolen shot glass.

Note to self: retrieve from Peter to party with this weekend, or just party with Peter.

oh and a fun side note- the other day ted and i were in walgreens and i asked him to buy me some nattys. i was jumping and clapping stating "please! they are my favorite beer!"
ted- "what happened to my little girl who just wanted bubble gum?"

so, i ended up walking away empty handed- or so i thought. i came home later that night  to find teddy had bought me a 4 pack of tallboy nattys. what sweet father i have!

i decided to save them for a special time, and it happened to be right before i went to the an ND alumni dinner, in which head coach charlie weis was speaking etc. i used 2 of those bad boys in a game of 10 cup against my baby brother/meggles fiance (ps schmeeg, sometimes he likes to dribble as well, he told me). I LOST! wtf, i leave college for what, two, three weeks and my skills have depleted this much?
anyways, at the private reception, after i was a couple of whiskey and diets in, i finally decided to go say hello to Coach Weis. It was more of a whats up, and i asked him to sign a ND jersey beer coozie (say that 5 times fast) that some guy gave me. a professional photographer was there, and he told me to step back and he'd snap my photo. so i stepped back, bent down, threw up a peace sign and stuck out my tongue. then i hear my father (president of the alumni club) yell "MEGAN!". needless to say, i stood up real quick, smiled and took a lovely photo with Coach. when it hits the interwebs i'll be sure to throw it up here.

until the weekend party peoples--

brauch

PS: has anyone else been LOVING that pitbull 911 fire birthday dance 1234 in spanish song?? i basically go nuts dancing in my car when i hear it. can't wait to show off my moves at the bar.

welcome to the OC bitchhhhh

wow i have not posting in a VERY long time.

i have been very busy venturing from Indy to SoCal.  the road trip was a blast.  we stopped in so many places along the way.  some brief highlights:

denver, CO- scalped some 2nd row tickets to the Dodgers vs. Rockies game.

Utah- hiked around a few national parks.  so cool, i would def. recommend it to anyone.

VEGAS- unbelievable, partied and gambled one night.  i had never gambled before & i have no money so after i lost $5 i decided i was done.  we met up with some of paul's friends and drank two bottles of wine.  (ps- if you decide to gamble, you get free drinks no matter what, a little incentive...)  then the next day we walked around the strip all day and went to Siegfriend & Roy's Secret Garden where the have.... A DOLPHIN HABITAT!!!!!!  so i was pretty much in heaven there.

so then sat. night we finally made it to California.  on sunday, paul and i went over to one of his friends houses and drank some wine.  then decided to head out to the bars to meet up with more people.  the place we went had the best margaritas and they were huge.  so after downing a few of those, we went to his friend morgan's house.  lets just say her house is on the beach and has a legit elevator in it...

so then we start guys vs girls flip cup.  after, we went through a few cases, the game fell apart a little bit, but i will have you know that the girls kicked ass :)  so we were all nomming in the kitchen when someone suggests we go down to the beach.  well i thought this was a GREAT idea and totally seconded that.  so the next thing i know a bunch of us are walking down to the beach.  then some of the guys decide that they wanted to go swimming.   normally i would have joined but it was slightly rainy and chilly (& i just met these people, they cant think i am nuts yet, right?)  so the night went on and ended with me waking up on morgan's couch the next morning.

so that has been my life in CA so far.  trying to get my act together still.

you know you love it,
c*murph

hmmm

Well my life has been pretty boring lately. I wish I had some fun stories like Meggles and Brauchy...but I don't. I kinda partied once, but i was home by 11, so I don't think that counts. I guess I am not parting cause, well, I am trying to get employed. lame, i know. but it kinda needs to happen. I am sooo poor :(

So on Sunday Mikey texted me, i think she was drunk, and asked if i wanted to go to Chi town with her this week. And since my life is pretty boring I agreed. So tomorrow morning I am driving myself to Cleveland. Then Mikey and I are off on a little adventure to her lake house in Michigan then off to Chi town for a mini crew reunion. We are going to meet up with Em and MK and probably do some shopping and drinking. The usual Chicago activities. Hopefully I will remember this Chi trip (unlike the last one). And I promise not to yell at anyone :)

Well I will update after our adventure. Wish me luck!

I wish I was partying more...but I need to be employed :(
