That said, this upcoming weekend is the 4th of July. My goal is to get a dance circle going at the Abenakee Club dinner dance.
Hopefully My Dad Won't Yell Me Off The Beach Again This Year,

I also wish I would have known to wear some leather. There was a live band, motorcycles on the ceiling, bras on the rafters and the BEST people watching ever. I got a little drunk and decided to cut it up on the dance floor. The singer in the band then announced (to the ENTIRE bar) "this girl is so cute with her little white dress!! TOO BAD YOU'RE AT A BIKER BAR HONEY!!!" It was fabulous.
After that experience, I went back to Lucas's house and we walked over to Andrew's. The late 20-something crew was in town so we raged with them a bit. It gives me hope that they still play flip-cup! Since my dad decided to be completely inconvienent by taking ONE car and leaving me in Maine, I had to bum a ride home to Boston from Deano in the morning.
This is Maine's idea of that claw game with stuffed animals. Hilarious right?Since I don't have much going on with my life, I plan on spending much more time up north. It will definately make for good blogging, that's fo sho!
VrrrooOOommm not sorry biker dudes,

Hollywood= Fever in the daylight
The main focus of this trip was business. I had 4 interviews in 4 days. BRUTAL. The good news was that I got 2 jobs. The bad news was that I would rather stick needles in my eyes than do those jobs. 12 hour days? Shitty compensation? Not for me. If I'm going to take a huge risk and move across the country for good, I need something much better. Needless to say, its back to the drawing boards. I'm talking with a few production studios in the Boston area where I can stay at home and save money, but who fucking knows. I know I love Los Angeles and I will definitely be there, I just don't know when.
Enough of that. Here are some fun things that I did:
I ventured to: Burbank, Santa Monica, Marina del Ray, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Long Beach, Culver City, Sunset Blvd, Santa Clarita, and Malibu, to name a few spots.
Long Beach was a blast. I met up with C-murph and we went to the Land of Many Beers. Our waittress was trying SO HARD to get us drunk but we had to be responsible since we both had an hour drive home. I got this drink called the "Escalade" with tequila, hypnotiq and some other shit in it. We went and walked around after dinner to sober up a bit and saw The Queen Mary (boat.) Then, we passed this bar called The Springbok and saw that people were playing beer pong. We got sad because we missed college and stopped to watch for a sec. Well, that was a mistake. This old man bopped up out of no where and was like "I'M BUYING YOU GIRLS SHOTS!" Since it was C-murph and I, we were like... fine... We meandered over to the bar with this dude and he got us Sambuca. WOOF and INSTADRUNK. Then he was like, "I'm buying you your first round of pong and a drink to have on the side." We looked at eachother, knew this was trouble and SPRINTED out of the bar. How responsible. I totally would have partied if I didn't have to drive an hour home to Venice. ahh well, soon enough.
One day I went and checked out stuff in Culver City. There are a LOT of hidden little studios since most people do their post-production stuff there. Sony Studios takes up a good chunk of Culver City as well. I ventured into Smashbox Cosmetics Corporate which was really happening. They do LA Fashion week there. Then I wandered into this building that looked cool. I looked around and there were tons of posters of Slightly Stoopid and the Expendables. I thought to myself, "no way..." Turns out, I had stumbled into Stoopid's management headquarters. What? REALLY? I ran into my dear friend Brian and he was like, Meaghan! What are you doing here?! He prob thinks I'm a crazy stalker, but I'm not, it was fate I swear. Unfortunately, Miles wasn't around :( BUT Brian gave me all of Slightly Stoopid's CD's! Love him. I also accidently stumbled onto the set of Californication. They weren't filming yet but it was cool to see the set get put together. They turned this vacant building into a pseudo-strip club for a scene. Dope.
The rest of the trip was pretty low-key. I went out to eat in some awesome resturaunts, by myself of course. Although my indepencence is a good quality, I realized that I don't really like being alone. I hope the next time I go to LA, I will have someone fun with me so that I can really rage. SoCal ain't seen nothin' yet.
Now that I'm back east, I have some REAL thinking to do. I also found a new boy to distract me.
not sorry!

The Way Life Should Be.
SUNDAY
Then I had to go out to lunch with the Fontein Clan for Grandmother's 88th birthday. I'm just going to be honest here and say it; my grandparents are brutal. Needless to say, I ordered a huge margarita at lunch and partied. Then the twins dropped me back off in Biddeford Pool. Its frightening, yet convienent that Addison is allowed to drive. Then George and I went to go see the Hangover. I already saw it on Friday but it was SO FUNNY that I went to see it again. Don't worry, it was still just as funny the second time around. After the movie, we went to Andrews were we preceded to drink wine and rock out. We watched the Lakers win and random people bopped in and out. It was a good night.
MONDAY
I woke up at Andrew's and it was another gorgeous day! I decided to stay in Maine and I hung out with Lucas like all day. It was really something.

We ended up getting a keg.
So I stayed to rage in Maine for one more night. The rage was great. So many good people showed up. I really enjoyed myself, and so did Lucas:
I woke up this morning, still in Maine and said to myself, "I have to get out of here..." so I drove home. All in all, it was a lot of fun, but now I have to buckle down FOR REALS and focus on getting a job. I also think I need to go to GNC and get a detox kit.
I'm baaaaaaaaaack,

well....
"I'm writitng this on my phone from my bed. Tonight was a regular doozy. I went to maine on a whim and saw my cousins for the first time since january. That was great. I also saw george, andrew, brendan, tubby, trip, bill, tucker, elliot, alex, whit and two randoms! We kicked it at andrews and watched the LAKERS and the pens. Good work Lakers. At some point, andrew told one of the many ghost stories about his house. (Drew's summer house is like 100 years old and crazy huge. There are all sorts of old creepy narrow staircases, random rooms and freaky shit that has happened there in the past.) Some people went to investigate this attic room and tweeeeked out because the chairs were set up all crazy. (there was a random assortment of chairs from all over the house set up in a perfect semi-circle and then there was one chair in the middle, facing the window. Weird.) I laughed it off because I felt as though the whole situation was bullshit. Well some other stuff went on.. We had a bonfire on the rocks and it was awesome. I had a lot of good chats with people I hadn't seen in a year. I also forgot how HOT elliot is... Then we went back to Drews. Highlights include: mac n cheese, lukey crisp and "ice storms '98." Then I had a delightful walk back to lukes. I forgot how safe bp is and how I can walk the streets at 3:45 in the morning feeling no sense of threat, whatsoever. I really missed my late night walks home where the only light comes from the moon reflecting off the ocean... So gorgeous. I got home and things got weird... First, I heard what sounded like a female coughing near by. (I was all alone.) I did a quick scope of the house and everyone was asleep... I know I heard that noise though and it sounded like it came from right in front of me! Then, the lights started flickering in the house. (WHAT?! REALLY??) I felt like the freaking GHOST that I didn't believe in earlier showed up to fuck with me!!! I got pretty spooked, bopped into d's room and closed the door, tightly. So here I am, in bed... Freaked out... Nervous... Curius... Yet humored....
Oh Maine, gets me everytime!

Stop it Conan, I'm the only late night ginge. (JK you're doing GREAT!)
The only things keeping me sane are nature and mint chocolate chip fro-yo from Treadwells. I've also been catching up on movie-watching. The House Bunny was hilarious, (Anna Faris is my idol.) Nick and Norah's was predictable, yet confirmed how badly I want to... [hang out with] Michael Cera. Tomorrow is a big day as I am going to watch The Wrestler. Friday will also be a movie day as the much-anticipated Funny People AND Land of the Lost are opening. I might have to put Land of the Lost on hold until I can smoke again though. I caught the MTV movie awards and actually enjoyed them. I REALLY want to [hang out with] Andy Samberg.
Today I managed to watch the season finale of the Hills, "Speidi's Wedding Unveiled" and PH's new BFF.
My thoughts on those are as follows:
..........
That said, I'm jetting back to LA on June 15th for a few days. It'll be busy, but hopefully I'll be able to pull off something at least a little bit rowdy.
still straight-edge,

hmmm
So on Sunday Mikey texted me, i think she was drunk, and asked if i wanted to go to Chi town with her this week. And since my life is pretty boring I agreed. So tomorrow morning I am driving myself to Cleveland. Then Mikey and I are off on a little adventure to her lake house in Michigan then off to Chi town for a mini crew reunion. We are going to meet up with Em and MK and probably do some shopping and drinking. The usual Chicago activities. Hopefully I will remember this Chi trip (unlike the last one). And I promise not to yell at anyone :)
Well I will update after our adventure. Wish me luck!
I wish I was partying more...but I need to be employed :(
