Mid-Late July

I'm finally completely sober after a lovely week-long binge.

It all started on a Tuesday. I went up to Maine because I work in Portland on Wednesday's. Lucas and Daisey wanted to rage a bit, so we did! It was a solid house party with most of my favorite Mainers.

Wednesday morning was a bit rough, but I fought through it. I played a little golf after work then stopped by my grandparents house to say hello and be a good granddaughter. My uncle Ted was in town. 6 tequila shots later, I was drunk.

On Thursday, I found myself in NYC with my dad, my underage-but-still-got-served-everywhere little sister and Other Megan. We started drinking in my hotel bar and then went out for Mexican food and margs. It was awesome.

On Friday, Brauch decided to show up in NYC. What? Other Megan, PeyPey, Brauch and I started our night at this bar in midtown that looked like a cabin. 5 beer buckets later, we were drunk. We lost PeyPey but picked up Tim and Lucy. Tim and Lucy are great, but our friendship with them is a bit rocky. After a sesh or two at Other Megan's apartment, we were picked up by John and Friend, (the NYC edition) and went to some bars downtown. We went to this one bar that had beers from around the world. Brauch and I found a beer that was 15% alc (Dogfish Olde School Ale) and inquired about it. The bartender told us "you can really taste the alc. in it." We said, "we'll take 3."

Saturday was grand. The three Megs meandered around the city and ate some really delish food including: shroom burgers from the shake shack and pinkberry :) We hopped on the Fung Wah Chinatown bus and headed up to Boston. We had a nice little dinner at my house but I was so exhausted and passed out early. Who knows what the other Megans did.

On Sunday we went up to Maine for the day. We saw the grandparents, saw some of my east coast crew, saw the Bush family compound, went to Fed's (the home of Shipyard beer) and took in the scenery. After Kimball drove us home, we dropped the Megan's off at South Station and they cruised back to NYC :(

On Monday, I went to the most fun party I've been to so far this summer. It was monumental in that it was at Dave's house and we had never partied there before. His parents were out of town and it was his birthday so we freaking raged. (Daveapalooza is always a huge event every summer.) Well this party ROCKED. I don't even know what I did the whole time, but man did I have a blast. I did some dancing, some drinking, some stooping, some porching, some smoking, and some other stuff too. Good crowd, good rage. Party of the summer so far FO SHO!

On Tuesday I woke up early and played a little round of hung over golf. Then I met up with the boys and we cruised around in convertibles, went out to lunch and straight up kicked it. Then I cruised home to Boston to recover.

So that was my week. There have been some other great things that have happened in July but I've been way to lazy to blog about. Here are some highlights:

  • Andrew's birthday
  • Raging at the Yacht Club/Ernesto
  • Bonfiring
  • Kickin' it with Ponts
  • Michael Jackson Theme Party
  • booze cruises and beach cookouts
  • Working on my first feature (www.milliesmovie.com)
  • Getting good at golf again
This weekend is the much anticipated 75th Anniversary Party of the Biddeford Pool Yacht Club which means, formal attire, dancing, swing band, open bar, fireworks, trouble, and the world premiere of the BPYC documentary that I worked on last summer. STOKED!

Later dudes,

Red, White and Buick

I went to Maine last Wednesday for a Michael Jackson themed party at my cousins house. It was excellent. My cousin Daisey and I were WASTED around about 8. Our friends started showing up around 9:30-10ish. I don't remember too much but I know it was fun.

Thursday was rainy and shitty and I hung out at Kelly's house all day. Around 5:30, I went to a cocktail party at my grandparents. I pounded some vodka drinks and then cocktailing turned into a dinner party. Lucas, Daisey and I rolled to our friends house where John showed off his bartending skills and made us "Pink Lady's" and a bunch of shooters. I was pretty blitzed by this point and we all meandered down the golf course to our country club with some beers. There was a tent set up for the weekend's dinner dance so we kicked it under the tent and drank beers and stuff for a while. Once again, I don't remember much, but it was fun, and Daisey puked on a door.

I woke up on Friday feeling like absolute death, BUT the sun finally decided to come out, thank goodness. I bopped around town all day and had a 3 hr lunch with a blast from the past. Friday night started with a lobster dinner party at my cousin Dericks house. Daisey and I drank some wine and beers and left with a lovely buzz. Then we cruised to a cocktail party and mingled for a sec. Then we went to our friend Frank's where we met up with some of our crew and we played some drinking games. Then we all cruised over to our friend's shed where we had a full-on rager. I left at some point and after-partied at my friend Jenny's house. It was a good night.

SATURDAY was the 4th of JULY! My town (in Maine) has this parade every year and I have always wanted to be in it. I woke up early, decorated the Buick with flags, beer cans and Pesce and cruised the parade. It was awesome. I had brunch at Kelly's with her fam and some of their friends and then Kel and I went to John's to hang with the boys. This is boring. Saturday night was the big dinner dance at the Abanakee club, which is essentially one huge wedding reception as everyone dresses up, there is a live band, dance floor and open bar(s). It was a blasttttt :) The after party took place at this girl Claire's house and that was pretty fun too. Then I went to a bonfire and went to bed.

Yesterday and today=rehab.
